| PHYSICAL EDUCATION |
| Fairmont’s physical education program
involves the children in non-competitive
games and activities. The program encourages the development of gross motor
coordination, visual motor coordination, muscular strength, endurance and
social skills. Children participate in activities according to their developmental
levels. The program emphasizes such basic skills as walking, running, hopping,
jumping, sliding, galloping, skipping, throwing, kicking, balancing, bending
and stretching. Also important are such fitness attributes as cardiovascular
fitness and muscular strength and endurance. |
